Don't be mainstream! 'TRAVEL BLOG'

My extraordinary life! To one of the world’s most exciting forest!

The sun rises from the East, shining bright across the Amazon River, as known as home to over 3000 species natural habitats where they crawl and slay little puny midgets.
The Amazon Forest, situated in South American and it is often described as a ‘dangerous place’, a place that it is very unusual If the guardian or parent’s taking little monsters – referring to mischievous kids here. So what experience was it like? Dangerous, dangerous and dangerous I suppose!

Unexpected.  That’s how I would describe Amazon as a place that has kept its tradition, though has been said many random species will come and bite little kids! – Ouch! Often being described as a ‘threatening’ ‘dangerous’ ‘mysterious place that if you get lost no one could come and find you’ and so much more. Amazon is definitely not the most recommended place in the world to go on a family trip with your monkeys if they don’t behave well. So what was my experience then?

Tough, but enjoyable.
This is the furthest and probably the toughest challenge I have been ever taken in my life, visiting  a place where you can get slaughtered to many different ways that you wouldn’t even expected how ‘they’ will be doing it.

Touch the poison dart frog, I dare you if you want to become the parody of sleeping beauty, or should I say a meal to be? – ah!
Walking down alongside the river bend as the shallow water rushing and flushing down so quickly, water splashes and hits the rock like they’re having a fight, this is extremely necessarily looking after little monkeys as they might end up the piranha’s meal.
Gero tours - walking unsteadily on bamboos; bamboo sticks everywhere; birds singing; actively hot during the day and cold as the Antarctica at night due to rapidly change in the climate, hot and humid. It could lead to dehydration if you don’t drink a plenty of waters, even though water is available anytime due to there is a ‘river’ but be careful as it may be lice’s looming inside the water – Yuck! Devil and the deep blue sea, water splashes, shocking, and unconsciousness...carnivores lurking around the edge, a sick and dying manatee’s had been taken down and finished off by a school of ravenous piranha during the dry season when they are notoriously aggressive. From miles away you can hear my tacky voice – apparently shouting was a definite action in this trip because you will never know what will happen to you next in terms of you might be followed by trillions of bullet ant, who knows?’

The next following morning we were strolling down the forest – the smell of the species richness’s in the biodiversity, green; red; blue – so colourful and tall gigantic attention-getting tree trunks within a maze-like forest, and the monsoon rain could drag down these brutal trunks, where you had to jump in and out and not to fall. Keep your balance.  ‘How am  I going to conserve this place?’– the question throws me into a thought of , indeed it is extraordinary to see such things especially we live in the inner cities  where nature has been buried alive and unrevealed due to civilizations – or never be able to reveal. Shocking.
As we reached down an unknown forest, greeting the natives with their house being built on branches, sounding so dramatic and satisfying as there are over 30 different of them living in such awe-inspiring environment – blue fronted amazon; spectacled owls; hyacinth macaw as they are looking very glamorously for the ‘Carnival do Brazil’ or more like a haute couture being held in the forest.  It  seems like an animated film being brought to life whereas they are so amazed of Mother Nature’s creation.
As the weeks goes by we finally reached our final destination ‘Meetings of waters’, standing between the dark Rio negro and pale sandy coloured Rio Solimões, learning about the reasons behind the river colourations, made myself appreciated what I have learnt from their chemistry class in school, great opportunity on applying knowledges in nature. I was very surprised that they were fighting over trying to explain the idea behind to me. Amazon isn’t just an ordinary place, it is a place that stretches your children’s mind.

Being mainstream isn’t good, visit some other countries and be an extraordinary family unlike the others.

Christmas shopping!

It's been a very long time since I posted, well there has been a lot of things happening last month so I tended not to post anything.

But now I'm back :D
Merry Christmas to everyone who is reading my blog at the moment. I wish you joy and happiness.

Santa Claus is setting off within 5 days so I should get ready and prepare milk and cookies for him.
Also it has been a lovely time spending time with friends and family, sharing gifts and decorating the halls.
It is Christmas, A special time which friends and family gather themselves and have a nice meal.
I mean, even you're my enemy, I will still get you a card and a present because Christmas is all about love and sharing. not being hatred all the time.

Couldn't believe that Star Wars was such a trend this year, just like Frozen last year.
Charming Kiss - Face Powder.

Like Father Like Son - Film review

I love this film and always wanted to watch it again;
Finally, I did and I found out that this is not just an ordinary story about switching babies, It kinda relates to 'Blood brothers'.

Intro :

Like Father, Like Son (そして父になる Soshite Chichi ni Naru) is a 2013 Japanese drama film directed by Hirokazu Koreeda It was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Ryota Nonomiya is a successful businessman who is focused so much on work that he neglects his wife, Midori, and son, Keita. Upon his return home one day, Midori tells him that the hospital where Keita was born needs to speak to them urgently, and Ryota senses trouble. After arriving at the hospital, the couple learns that their biological son Ryusei was accidently switched with Keita after birth, and after DNA tests prove the error, they must now make a life-changing decision to either keep Keita, the boy they raised as their own son or switch him for their true son.
Ryota and Midori soon meet with the other couple, Yukari and Yudai Saiki, small town folks who lack the money and drive that Ryota possess but have a better understanding of the importance of child and parent bonds. They share photos, and for the first time, Ryota and Midori see their biological son, Ryusei. After several meetings, they decide to switch children for one Saturday, which goes relatively well for both considering the tense situation. After several more meetings, they finally decide to exchange children. All four parents have difficulty accepting the loss of their previous son, and the absence of the parents they used to know causes both boys to shut down emotionally, culminating in Ryusei running away from the Nonomiya's home and returning to the Saiki's. Ryota picks up Ryusei and brings him back home.
Ryota and Midori begin to bond with Ryusei, who is also warming up to them. However, while going through the photos on his camera, Ryota discovers a cache of photos of him, mostly sleeping, that Keita took, and he breaks down crying. The three return to the Saiki family so Ryota, who has now understood the errors of his ways, can see Keita, but Keita runs away from him. While following him, he apologizes to Keita, and the two make amends. The film ends with the two returning to the Saiki's, and both families entering the home, signifying the strengthening of the bond between both families and the acceptance of their decision.

My feelings after watching:

This is my first film review so I might not be very good at it.

The actresses and actors were absolutely fantastic!

In this movie/film, you could actually tell the difference between 2 families,
Nonomiya Ryota is a middle class, works in a big company and lives in Tokyo(Near Tokyo Skytree), he neglects his wife and son.
Nonomiya Keita, is a gentleman, plays piano and very independent(he has to do everything by himself).
Keita has to call his mom and dad in a formal way - which Ryusei calls his parents - Mama, Papa.
Nonomiya Ryota tried to spend time with his son, maybe go camping or playing pianos, but differently compare to Ryusei Saiki's family, Ryusei's family is more relaxed, his mom and dad works in a shop, lives in the countryside.

I really don't like the bit which the Hospital and the husbands blamed everything on their wifes of not noticing they switched babies, but what I liked in this movie was the bit where they switched Keita and Ryusei and to live at theirs.
Seeing the differences of a kid who lives in a metropolitan city and the other lives in the countryside.

In this film, the part really did touch my heart was when Nonomiya Ryota said;
'Can I keep them both? I've got plenty money  to afford 2 childrens'
but then Ryusei's Dad said  'There are things you can buy in this world, but there are also things you CAN'T buy'

After that Nonomiya Ryota chose blood over 6 years of relationship with Keita, If I was Nonomiya Ryota, I'd probably want everything stay the same and not letting the child know what's happening.

But I do understand why he wanted to switch because it is the Japanese culture, which Japanese people will find it weird having a son that is not your biological son.

The scene before ending was Nonomiya Ryota tries to apologize to Keita for being not a good dad these 6 years.
and Keita was saying: Daddy is not my Daddy!
Nonomiya Ryota goes to him and says: I might not be a good dad, but I was your father for 6 years. (It is at the end of the trailer).

What I find it interesting in this movie is that it relates to a play called 'Blood brothers'.

Nature or Nurture? A moving story that throws you into a question...

Would you choose blood over 6 years of relationships?

Can you really love a child without your blood?
